Your Health, Your Language: Join Medly as a Founding User

When someone in your whānau falls ill, finding the right care shouldn't feel like a guessing game. That's why we're building Medly—and we want you to be the very first to shape its future.

We are inviting a small, select group of families to become Medly's Founding Users.
What is Medly?
Medly is a free, voice-first way to work out where to go when someone is unwell. It is in development now, and founding users will be the first to try it.
Instead of a stressful search that throws generic information at you, Medly is designed to listen and guide you:
- Speak in your language: Describe what's wrong in English, te reo Māori, Gagana Sāmoa or हिन्दी.
- Guided questions: Follow-up questions about your symptoms, when they started and how severe they are, with cultural context taken into account.
- A clear next step: Once it has a picture of what you need, it points you to the right level of care.
Who We Are Looking For
Beyond being among the first to try Medly, our founding group is diverse. You don't need to be tech-savvy to join; we just want to hear from people who care about healthcare access.
We are especially looking for:
- Busy Households: Families with young children or elderly relatives who need healthcare frequently.
- The Uncertain: Anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed trying to figure out where to go or what to do when someone is unwell.
- Multilingual Speakers: Whānau and communities who speak English as a second, third, or fourth language.
- System-Frustrated: Anyone tired of the lack of accessibility in the current health system.
- Caregivers & Pros: Nurses, community health workers, and anyone involved in looking after others.
What Being a Founding User Means
As a Founding User, you aren't just signing up—you are partnering with us. Your real-world experience will directly shape our feature roadmap.
What you get:
- First Access: Be the very first families in New Zealand to use Medly.
- Priority Support: Direct lines to our team if you ever need help.
- A Voice in Development: Direct feedback channels to tell us what works and what challenges you face in your day-to-day life.
Our Commitment: We want to build something that fits your real life and works in a true whānau setting. By sharing your experience, you help us understand what getting fast, reliable care actually feels like for your community.
How to Join (It Takes Just 2 Minutes)
Registering your interest is quick and simple. Just fill out a short form letting us know a bit about who you are and where you live.
- Cost: $0. Medly is free for users, always.
- Sales pitch: None. Registration simply lets us know you want to be in the queue to try it first.
Help Us Spread the Word
Healthcare is deeply personal. It should be easy to navigate, regardless of your postcode, your language, or how familiar you are with the system.
If you know a family, a neighbour, or a community member who would benefit from Medly, please share this post with them. Spots in the founding group are limited!
A note on safety
Medly helps you work out where to go. It doesn't diagnose, and it isn't a substitute for advice from a clinician. When something sounds serious it will tell you to call 111 rather than try to handle it itself. For any health concern you can call Healthline on 0800 611 116 or contact your doctor.
